Oasis Housing Association (OHA) is a member-led initiative bringing together Zimbabweans in the diaspora, local Zimbabweans, Africans, and global citizens who share a vision of living, investing, and building a future in Zimbabwe.
Oasis brings people together to harness the power of collective action — combining our professional knowledge, skills, experience and financial capacity. Through group buying, we strengthen our negotiating power for land, infrastructure, materials and services at scale, while creating opportunities for members to pool capital to jointly fund, launch and invest in businesses and projects.

LAND ACQUIRED
We have acquired 400 hectares of land in Shamva, Mashonaland Central, Zimbabwe.Our journey has therefore moved beyond searching for land. We are now focused on planning, subdivision, infrastructure and development as we work towards transforming the land into the Oasis community.

Agriculture is at the core of our community. We encourage crop and food production, poultry, pig farming and other small-scale agricultural activities, with a strong focus on naturally and organically grown produce. We aim to create a productive, sustainable community with access to fresh, produce.

Oasis creates opportunities for member-led business networking, entrepreneurship and collective investment, enabling members to share skills, combine resources and pool capital to launch and develop viable businesses and projects together. Our aim is to create lasting income opportunities that support members through relocation and into retirement.

Oasis community aim to include quality schools and a skills hubs, healthcare and specialist services, retail and commercial facilities, sports, recreation and green spaces, family entertainment and leisure, full surveillance and security, business and employment opportunities, and sustainable food production. Everything is being designed to create a community where people can live, work, grow, invest and thrive
FUN FACTS ABOUT SHAMVA
The name Shamva derives from “Tsamvi,” a local tree traditionally found in the area. Nearby attractions including Umfurudzi Park, Lionhead Mountain and Dam, the scenic Umfurudzi River and Mumurwi waterfalls — bringing wildlife, landscapes and nature within walking distance of the Oasis community. Mashonaland Central is home to fascinating rock art, historic sites and landscapes connected to Zimbabwe’s long cultural history.
